Social Justice Team

The church-wide Social Justice Guide is published twice per year, and contains general information about programs and civic partners for all 3 campuses. Specific details about dates and events can be found in the weekly campus email or in the upcoming events section of this website.

Our Social Justice efforts in the Fort Bend area are guided by our Social Justice Team. The team meets annually to plan a variety of opportunities to serve in our community. This year volunteer opportunities include, among others, helping the homeless, community building projects, and planting trees for Houston. In addition the Thoreau/Stafford campus started and maintains a scholarship that pays college tuition for low-income students who are the first in their family to attend college.

  • The Thoreau Dream Scholarship
  • Fort Bend Women’s Center

  • School clothes for low-income children
  • Food for the Fort Bend Food Pantry
